BATTLE OF DRY CREEK AND DROOP MOUNTAIN REENACTMENTS

The reenactment is held on the actual battlefield of the 1864 Battle of Droop Mountain located at the Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park. The Park is located on US 219 about 29 miles North of I-64 and is several miles South of the Town of Hillsboro, WV at the top of Droop Mountain.
The 2026 Droop Mountain Reenactment will be held on 10/10 and 10/11-2026
Due to a generous donation by the Pocahontas County Commission, for 2026 Droop Mountain Reenactment, there will be NO registration fee for pre-registered AND walk-on reenactors. HOWEVER, Reenactors Whose Registrations Are Postmarked on or Before October 1st Are Guaranteed the Free Dinner.
There will be a skirmish at 1:00 pm on Saturday afternoon and the reenactment of the Battle of Droop Mountain will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR SPECTATORS.
On Saturday Evening, there will be an 8:30 pm night firing of the cannons.
